Shop my Stash! Part #2 || What Im throwing away || Mini Reviews

Hello & Welcome back!

This is my second installment of Shop my Stash! In post I'm going to show some of the items that I will be throwing away just because of age and being unhygienic now. I have had them in my collection way too long now.

In Part #1 I talked all about my products that I was throwing away because I just considered them fail items, if you would like to check it out you can do so by clicking on the link here - Shop my Stash! Part #1 || fail items

So off we go again!!

Essence Silky Touch Blush, Bourjois Paris Face Powder, Collection Blush

Ill start with the Essence blush, Nice blush, soft creamy blendable and will be repurchasing. I haven't decided if I will repurchase this exact shade but I will definitely repurchase from this line.

This Bourjois Powder if I am correct was a face setting powder which also had coverage of its own. I never really used it as it was way too dark for me but I remember it being very soft and blendable unfortunately that is as much of a review as I can give it.

The Collection Blush is one again I never really used. This blush has some simmer too it and seems to be quite pretty. I dont think I will be repurchasing however as I am no longer a shimmery blush kind of girl, but who knows what the future can hold. All of these were unfortunately bought a long time ago and forgotten about at the bottom of a drawer. They are all too old to test or try out now. I do wish I had used them a bit more though. It seems like such a waste of money to throw products that are almost full away!

Rimmel Stay Glossy Lipgloss

I honestly don't know if they even make these anymore or else they have been repackaged maybe. The new ones they have out now at the moment have the same name shades & they look similar but I have not tried them so I do not know if they are the same. I will have to double check and get back to you. Anyway I would definitely like to repurchase these! I loved them both.

Shades from left to right - My Eternity, Non- Stop Glamour

Seventeen Mirror Shine Lipstick - Camisole

I loved the concept of this lipstick with the mirror and I must have liked the shade when I picked it up as there were testers but by now I dont know whether it is because its so old or because my tastes have changed but I don't like it now. There was not much pigmentation, quite sheer..  I still like the idea of the mirror so I might check them out again the next time I hit boots but I wont be picking up this shade again.

Mascaras - W7 Lashtastic & Catrice Ultimate Lash Multimizer

Both of these are being tossed as they are past their prime. Neither of these I would consider fails but I will not be repurchasing them either. Neither were that amazing and there are so many out there to try. The formulas of both of these were particularly wet which I dont really like. The W7 Lashtastic in particular was an extremely wet formula. They both still did the job but nothing outstanding to report unfortunately.

Eyeshadow Bases - Essence I Heart Stage & Catrice Prime & Fine Eyeshadow Base

These are two products I wish that I had used more!! Both are so old that I simply have to throw them out but they were both good. I am so lazy with eyeshadow primer. I just keep forgetting to use it!! I dont generally need it unless I am doing so seriously heavy duty work. I would repurchase both of these but maybe one at a time so they actually get used up this time.

Thats it for part 2!! All the products that I am tossing because of age more than anything else!

Have you tried any of these?
Have you any recommendations of any new products for me to pick up??

Shop my Stash! Part #1 || What I am throwing away || Fail Products! ||

Hello there my beauties!

Recently I decided to do a little clear out with my make up.. seriously getting to hoarder status at this stage!! Also I was watching a programme which had a segment on how unhygienic it is keep old makeup (being a self confessed germaphob I felt compelled to look through my makeup and see if anything was at the end of its life span.. I found a few)

I already know the dangers of keeping old makeup and the lifespan of products as I have already done a post on the shelf life of products if you would like to check it out here - Use before you lose! but it doesnt hurt to be reminded every now and again!!

I decided what I would do would create a couple of posts for you guys. In the first one I am going to show you all the products I am going to throw away simply because they were fails! The next one will be because they were out of date, basically all gone and what I thought of them and the last post will be on all the things I vow to use more before they reach the end of their life.

Many of you might be like OMG! how can you not like this product.. but remember beauty products are work differently for different people so something I might love you might hate & vice versa but I am not here to bash products or brands just merely giving my humble opinion... Enjoy x

Here we go!

Wet & Wild Megalast Liquid Lipsticks

I give up! Im done! If you caught my YouTube video on my review of these then you will already know what I am talking about! You can check that out here if you want - YouTube Video Review  I can not seem to get them to work for the life of me!! I love Wet & Wild as  brand in general so please leave me any comments if you have any recommendations but these guys just dont work for me!

Collection 2000 Perfect Finish Foundation

First of all I think this foundation was fairly old. It still said Collection 2000 on the bottle but I dont think much older than a year.. I might be wrong #beautybloggerproblems. However whether it was old or not is irrelevant as it was still a fail product for me regardless. It just didnt work well with my skin made me look caked up and dry also oxidised like a mofo... Like Wet & Wild I love collection as brand and their concealer for me (as with a lot people) is a holy grail item but this foundation just didnt make the cut im afraid...

Real Techniques Stippling Brush

Again another brand I love. I feel like im bashing some of my favourite brands but every brand has some products that are better than other and I am always going to keep my promise to you guys to always be honest. This brush just didnt work me. I could never use it properly because it is always losing hair leaving hair all over my face making it twice as hard to do my makeup. Its not because I was washing it wrong because this has been happening from the beginning! Maybe I just got a bad brush but at around 15 euro a pop im not willing to purchase another one to find out. Am I alone? Has this happened to you? Have I just gotten a bad brush?

Catrice Allround Concealer

I originally picked this up as I was getting into colour correcting concealer. I have a palate from Fuschia Cosmetics which I love and when I spotted this it was one of the first of its kind that I had seen in the drugstore and I thought it might be a great cheaper alternative. I was wrong the colours are too harsh and pigmented and dont blend easily which defeat the purpose. Since then many other brands have brought them out so I will be trying them out when I run out of the fuschia ones (which will be soon). As you can see from the photo this was a tried but not very used as I couldnt get it to blend properly. Again this is from a much loved brand and again please leave suggestions if you have been able to get this product to work for you or recommendations for products like it!

Collection Big Fake Curves False Lash Effect Mascara

Yes another from Collection for me Im afraid... This is a recent purchase for me.. about 2 weeks ago. I instantly knew it wasnt for me. The formula was sooooo dry It was like it had been opened for about a year already, which I knew was impossible as it had been taped up but thats the way it looked and felt for me. I also really dont like the wand its too big for me. Maybe this is a hit for some people but for me not so much. Mascara is so subjective and I have yet to find a holy grail to be honest. I loved the Catrice fibre lash one but I have a feeling it might have been discontinued as I cant find it anywhere. Even though I have yet to find one that will change my mascara life this wont be it! Have any of you tried it? Did I once again get unlucky with a bad tube? Is it always this dry!?

So thats it 5 fail products for you guys.

Please leave me any comments with any products that have been failing or If you love these and I got a bad one or Im using wrong let me know! Also if you have any product recommendations then I would Love to hear them!!

Current Favourites!!

Hey hey,

So I was looking in my makeup bag and I realised that I have been doing a few things differently recently so I decided that I would do a post for you guys to tell you all the things I have been loving! I have also thrown in a couple of randoms for you too!! Enjoy! x

W7 - In the Buff

This month I have found myself reaching for this palate almost on a daily basis! I love it! As I have mentioned before in and earlier post this is a dupe for the Naked 2 palate by Urban Decay. If you would like to see a comparison post which includes swatches then you can just click HERE I dont own the The Naked 2 myself. I do own the The Naked Original & The Naked 3, However I gifted The Naked 2 to my sister a couple of years ago as I thought it would suit her skin type and colouring and its also the type of colours that she generally gravitates toward and she swears by it! Its her favourite palate and a holy grail item. So when I saw the dupe I robbed her one and compared them for you guys & they are almost identical!! Check the swatches on the post for yourself!! So much so that when my sister went traveling for the summer she took the W7 In the Buff palate rather than her Naked 2 so that it wouldnt get damaged.

Anyway This month I have been loving this palate!! I have been especially loving Camel, Dust, Topaz, Earth & Wave (which would be Half Baked, Chopper, Snake Bite, Suspect & YDK if you have the Naked 2) If you have not tried out either of these palates I recommend you do. Duped or not these shadows are fantasic in their own right. Which is something I found to be the same across the board in all of the palates that W7 have to offer!! They are buttery and rich in texture, extremely pigmented and blendable!

Essence Lip Liner - Satin Mauve

AUTUMN HAS ARRVIED!! Woop Woop!! I love autumn or fall as my american friends would say! Which means..... All my favourite colours are back in makeup, nail varnish & clothes!! And I have been using the heck out of this baby for the last couple of weeks!! I love it and the texture of these pencils is so nice and creamy but long-lasting & matt at the same time. What more could a girl want!?

Essence Long Lasting Lipstick - Oh So Matt

Okay this one is a sad favourite because I have been using it sooo much, pairing it with the Satin Mauve Lip Liner and it gives the most wonderful "Kylie Jenner" look to the lips! In love! but.... I was looking to get a back up and cant find it anywhere and now Im afraid it has been discontinued! If anyone knows for sure if it has or not please leave me a comment below or on Twitter - Username @Beauty_La_Linda   I really hope it hasnt been I will be so sad!! You have all heard about me raving about this line of lipsticks and honestly I think they are such amazing quality and price is so affordable!! This one is on the brownie side of nude and has a matt finish (as the name would suggest) but is completely comfortable on the lips and not drying at all *Please dont be discontinued *Please dont be discontinued... #fingerscrossed

P.S. Love... Brow Kit

This is a recent purchase & I have a full review coming up in the next couple of days so I wont talk about it too much but it is such a great little kit and so inexpensive and it has multi tasking quailties (wink, wink a little hint for what I will be talking about in my review) ... money well spent in my opinion!

Random Favourites

Doggies & Kittens

I have had to move home recently due to the housing crisis that seems to be taking place in Ireland at the moment and it was only a temporary thing for a week or two until I could find something but now after talking with family I have decided to stay here until after christmas maybe. Anyway I will talk about that in a different post. The reason I am bringing it up is because all the time I lived in cork I never had animals around (except for one cat that decided she was going to come in whenever she felt like it and then leave again) but for the most part my life in recent years has been animal free. I have grown up with animals my entire life and nothing makes me happier than chilling with animals. If you remember some posts back in April I was planning on getting my own puppy but due to unforeseen change in circumstances it
no longer seemed like the right time... and now it looks like it wont be for another while but I eventually will get my pom pup! Since I have been home I am now surrounded by animals again!! I LOVE IT. We have 6 (yes 6) Cats at home.. (all house cats apart from one who now only comes home every now and then) They are all babies in their own right with their own little personalites!! (I am fully aware that I sound like a crazy cat lady and I DONT CARE!! haha) We also have 3 dogs.. well two (one is owned to my sister but is currently at home as she is also in house hunting mode at this time) Add in a couple of fish and a few humans and thats our family & I love it! All the animals get on well together (probably better than the humans do haha) I find it very hard to be so stressed & anxious when an animal is looking up at you with wide eyes looking so damn adorable. I love
animals so please tell me about your pets in the comments or on twitter cos id love to hear about them!!

These Pics on the right are (from top to bottom) - Buster , Charlie & Pickles.. If you follow me on Instagram you may have already seen these. I am always uploading snaps of them! Reeses choc bar

New addiction alert!! I have always loved Reeses Peanut butter cup and now I have found it in bar form!! amazing!! That is all!

Newest Items in my Skin Care Routine (All Drugstore) || Beauty La Linda - MUA

Hello beauties,

A couple of months ago I decided I wanted to pick up some new skin care products. My skin was feeling dry and dull and generally not looking or feeling good. I went into Boots , I wasnt sure what I wanted and they were having a sale on the Boots Simply Sensitive range. I thought what the heck! Ill give It a go. I liked the idea that it was created for sensitive skin because I had been getting a lot of roscea and hyper pigmentation. Plus I wanted something with a few nourishing ingrediants rather than a lot of different things mixed into one product!! I wanted to go back to basics with my skin and start fresh.

*I am not being sponsored in any way to talk about these products. I bought them with my own money and these are my opinions for your information and entertainment *

I picked up The Hydrating Eye Cream , The Hydrating Moisturiser , The Night Moisturiser & The Deep Cleansing Face Mask. I have to say I got results immediately from using these products. I decided to just use these products on my skin and it completely cleared up my redness. I woke up the next morning after using the mask, eye cream and night cream and I couldn't believe it!!

The Hydrating Eye Cream

The Hydrating Moisturiser

The Night Moisturiser

The Deep Cleansing Face Mask

All of the Products contain soothing Aloe Vera! They are ever so slightly scented by what I'm assuming is aloe vera but its so subtle you wouldn't even notice it. I had to basically stick my nose in it to get any scent off of it! They feel really hydrating and moisturising on the skin & my skin just drinks it up!!

I think every now and then you skin just needs to go back to basics. we feed it with so many nutrients and ingredients (Im not saying this is a bad thing in the slightest!) but I think it can be a lot for our skin to process sometimes!

I was shocked at how well the products performed given their inexpensive price!!

I now continue to use them but I use them in conjunction with other products that I have & I have been very happy with the results!! I also have morning and evening skincare  routines coming up soon for you guys, so keep posted!!

Have you tried this range? what are your thoughts on them?

Review || Loreal Paris Infallible 24-Hour Matt Foundation

Hello my Beauties,

Also Hello September! That came around fast didnt it?? I mean in four months the holidays will be upon us once more... crazy!! but I am getting ahead of myself today I am here to give my review of this little product. Enjoy and let me know you thoughts in the comments!!

A couple of weeks ago I posted my Review for Infallible Mattifying Base ( If you have not already seen it then you can just click on the link here - Review || Loreal Paris Infallible Mattifying Base ) & This week I thought I would talk to you about my thoughts on the accompanying foundation in the range.

I have mixed feelings about this product. I was hesitant to write this review as I don't feel like I have a clear opinion on the product but I have been using it for a few weeks now and I still feel the same so I figured I would just let you know what I thought.

I honestly believe my mixed feelings from this product stems from the fact that I am not the targeted skin type for this foundation. I have normal to dry skin, therefore the heavy duty mattifying properties do not agree with my skin type. The reason I picked it up in the first place is because I love a matt finish foundation and my skin was more normal than dry in the summer months.

My thoughts
I find this foundation even with the use of a primer can really dry out my skin if it is not properly moisturised before hand & even then after a few hours my skin can feel really dry. To be honest this actually means it is a great product for oily girls out there because it means it actually does what it claims to do.

Why do I keep using it you ask??
Well that's the funny thing I love the effect it gives. The finish of it is really nice and I keep getting compliments on it, which was why I was not giving up on it & it does last for hours with out any need of touch up.. well for me anyway & I have found as long as I properly prep my skin then I dont end up with dried up flaky skin it just takes more effort then it usually does to do my skin care routine.

Stats

Type of foundation: Liquid
Texture: Quite light and extremely blendable, Does set quite quickly though.
Aimed for : Oily Skin
Finish: Matt
Coverage: Medium - Full (Buildable)
Oxidation: Yes
Lasting Power: Excellent
Price Range: Drugstore/Highstreet (about 15 Euro)
Would I recommend it? YES

Overall Thoughts

You get a lot of bang for your buck with this foundation, as with the primer, a little goes a long way. You have to be quick enough with your blending as is tends to set quite quickly, however it is really easy to blend so have not had a problem with this. It will oxidize but it was nothing too crazy on my skin. It will start off as a meduim coverage and build up to a full coverage foundation.

Would I recommend it??

It is aimed for oily combo skin so for my dry skinned girls out their, like myself, Even though I personally like the foundation and will continue to use it until the tube runs out, I would not recommend this unless you are willing to put a bit more care in the skin care routine before hand, or else you could up a flaky mess. I have no doubt it would be perfect for oilier girls & I find the finish on it fantastic! If you have an oiler skin type then I definately recommend to give this a try!! Dont forget to comment back and let me know how you get on with it!!

Have you tried it??
What did you think?
Would you recommend it??

Summer Loving || Top Non Make up Beauty Essentials for Summer || Beauty La Linda - MUA

Hey Hey,

So it is coming to the end of the summer, but the sun is shining and for many of you out there you have yet to take you summer holidays. My previous post focused on Top Summer Beauty Product Must Haves So if you haven't seen that already checked it out then you can just click here Link. For this post I am going to focus (as the title suggests) Non Makeup Beauty Essentials!!

Anti Frzz Spray

Im not sure if this is a world wide thing but in most countries when it gets hot you have to deal with humidity. Its a killer for hair. As soon as it gets humid my hair has a mind of its own, we are talking frizz central!! & that look aint cute!! to combat this I found a product last summer. Its the Mark Hill Anti-Humidity Spray. It was perfect for what I needed. It was also the first time I spotted a product of this kind. That might be because it was the first time I was actively looking for a product like this .... but still... I do recommend it for hot and humid weather.

If you would like to see this product which was featured in my July Favourites Youtube Video last year. Then just click on the link. Blog post & Youtube Video

Heavy Duty Deodrant / Deodrant Wipes

Lets face it noone wants to smell like BO at anytime of the year but in the summer time deodrant is an absolute must! Also in one of my Youtube videos I did a collab with one of my besties and fellow beauty blogger Aoife AKA Wonderstruck Beauty we did "Whats in our Makeup Bag??" and she had Festival Deodrant Wipes from Essence. These are a fantastic Idea for when you are really stuck. I cant guarentee that they still have them (They may have been limited edition) but if you see anything of that nature then it maybe be handy to pick them up.... you never know when you might be grateful for them!!

If you would like to see this product which was featured in my collab video Whats in our Makeup Bag then just click on the link Whats in our Makeup Bag ft Aoife (Wonderstruck Beauty)

Razors/ Waxing

Time to get those legs out again which means for 99% of us women out there, it means shaving and waxing. I personally prefer waxing but honestly end up shaving most of the time as it easier. I just don't seem to find the time for booking appointments and all that jazz. However this year I am going to look into home waxing. I feel if I master the art of it then I will save a lot money and I can do at my own convenience Win Win!

Lip balm w/ SPF

Most of us will use lip balm on nearly a daily basis anyway but we often forget that this time year especially it needs to have SPF in it! The skin on our lips is Super sensitive and therefore can get burnt easily. So whatever you do dont forget to protect that pout!!

Facial Wipes

I know, I know Face wipes are bad for your skin and should not be used as part of you skincare routine... blah, blah, blah & Its all true but in the summer time this handy little invention can be a god send, For travel, holidays, festivals. Honestly these are so fricken handy when your i need of a quick clean up. Keep a pack handy and definately thank yourself!!

SPF

Show of hands.. How many people are sick of hearing about Spf?? I know I know but It is SUPER IMPORTANT!! I mean lets face it nobody wants wrinkling, age spots, burnt skin, skin peeling... gross.... or worse still skin cancer!! It might be annoying but you will be so grateful in the long-term!! Its not even half as difficult to get a hold of or work with anymore! Most foundations and a lot of moisturisers even have it included... So thats half the battle!

Make up Setting Spray

After all that hard work, now we need to set it all in place!! I know a lot of people like to use powder but sometimes I find this to a bit counter productive and heavier in the summer time. Dont get me wrong there are loads of brilliant setting powders out there but in the summer time I prefer to use a spray. Lighter, Refreshing and just more appealing to me, feels like you have nothing on your face!!   The two I gravitate towards are the Urban Decay All-nighter and The Body Shop Face mist (smells like rose) There is about 10 euro in the difference but for heavy duty work like a night out I would prefer the Urban Decay one!

Body Scrub

In the Summer time especially, everybody wants their skin to look soft and radiant and in order for this to happen most us will need a good scrubbing... I am actually quite addicted to scrubs. I dont know what it is I just love how soft my skin feels afterwards... seriously give it ago. So many brands carry them in sooo many different scents. I have no doubt you will be able to find the one that is right for you!!

Scent

In the summer time I love a fresh scent. My all time winter or evening scent is Dior Hypnotic Poison but in the summer time I love that "clean" smell. You know the one I'm taking about. I have been using the Soap & Glory Body Spray alot this summer. Its the original scent & think it smells like "Just out of the shower, clean" This is also new for me as I generally never use body sprays, always preferring perfume but Soap & Glory won this summer.

Blotting sheets

This is the one item that I have put in that I dont personally use. I have normal / Dry skin but my oily skinned girls / guys out there, this can be a MUST. you can pick these up anywhere. Pick up a couple of packs and leave them in stratigic places .ie. Handy bag, Car, Bedroom, Bathroom... Sorted!! I have also heard the ones in Essence and Catrice are very good so they wont break the bank either. What more could you ask for!?

Those are my Top Non Make up Beauty Essentials For Summer!!

Review || Loreal Paris Infallible Mattifying Base

Hello There,

Hope everyone has been well!! As most of you will know if you have been reading my blog for a while (Thank You) that for the longest time my go-to Primer has always been the Maybelline Baby Skin Primer with nothing following that closely behind it in comparison... but that has changed...

A while back I went on a makeup binge in Boots (Drugstore) and I managed to pick myself up 2 primers, 2 foundations and 3 conceallers... I only needed one of each but offers, offers everywhere (as anyone who has ever walked into Boots will know this first hand) and I was weak... could...not...resist!! One of the primers I picked up was the Maybelline Infallible Mattifying Base. I had seen a few people haul it in videos but I had never checked out any reviews or first impressions and I thought why not!!

I have been using it constantly and I really do love it!! I think I prefer the Baby Skin Slightly and Im not sure why. I cant put my finger on it but I do. This however is an awesome primer!!

It has the siliconey texture that I love. It is also lighter in texture than the Baby Skin primer. A little bit really does go a long way with this product which means it lasts forever!! I find I need to use less of this one than I did the Baby Skin one! I find it works really well under my foundations!! It really is a good base to start your makeup application!!

I would highly recommend anyone to try it. I have normal / dry skin and i found it a dream. However I will also have to test it out in winter when my skin gets a bit drier. As it is a mattifying base it may not work as well as it does when my skin is more normal than dry.

Maybelline in my opinion you have done it again!

Thats my quick review of this product!
Have you tried this primer!?
What did you think??

Summer Loving || Rediscovered Drugstore Favourites || Beauty La Linda - MUA

Hello my darlings!!

So today I was going to do my June Favourites and I realised alot of the products that I have been using this month have actually been rediscovered favourites and not new at all. I decided that instead of a monthly Favourites post I am actually going to do a rediscoveries post!!

Maybelline 24hr Colour Tattoo - Shade 35 - On & On Bronze

I forgot how good these guys were!! I was feeling extremely lazy but I had to put on some makeup a couple of weeks ago and I decided to throw this on and I have been wearing it almost everyday since!! I really want to get more shades!! I also have the shade 65 - Pink Gold which I also love but I don't seem to get as much wear out of it as On & On Bronze (Bad to the Bronze in the US) It is the perfect metallicy yet neutral bronzey colour which I just find so flattering on the eye. It rarely creases dries & demi-matt on me. No need for brushes. Perfect for either a lazy day where you don't want to use much energy and put much effort into your make up or it can also be used as a base for layering with other eyeshadows on days where you are feeling a little bit more adventurous.

Barry M Eyeliner - no 29

I used to love this eyeliner so much!! (As you will remember if you have been reading my blog for a while now) but in the last couple of months it seems to have fallen by the wayside. This month however I rediscovered it hanging out in my makeup drawer and have been wearing it most days with the Maybelline Colour Tattoo. I love them together I just think the copper and bronze look so summery!! Puts me in a happy sunshiney mood #summerloving

StMoritz Instant Self Tanning Mousse - Dark

With all this good weather we got going on lately its only natural that I decided to break out the old fake tan again!! And Although as I have mentioned in a previous post that I want to try out new tans this year I couldnt help but going back to my old favourite I cant help but love this tan! Especially the mousse variety! I have tried both the other varieties, the lotion and the spray but for some reason I just prefer the mousse even though I had a good experience with all of them. If you would like read a full review of the full range where I talk about them all in much more detail... all the pros and cons then just click here - St Moritz Tanning Range Review

Vaseline Spray & Go, Body Moisturiser

Again as I have started tanning I ended up going back to yet another product that I discovered last year. I love this moisturiser. As I have said previously I can be quite lazy when it comes to moisturisers but this one is quick and easy and perfect when your self tanning. I also love the smell!! For a full review of this product then just click here - Full Review

There you have it! A short little post on four items I have rediscovered and have been loving!! Do you have any rediscovered products that you would like to share!?

I find as a general rule it is better to stay away from using a lot of powder products in the summer time. This is because it can tend to look quite "cakey" It can also tend to feel heavier on your skin. In the summer we want our skin to look dewy, bronzy, glowy like real skin and generally like a goddess. Unfortunately it is harder to achieve this with powder products. For Foundation I always tend to go back Rimmel Wake me up & Lorel True match. They feel light on the skin while also giving you good coverage. Plus they both have SPF! Awesome! This year though I plan on trying the Bourjois Healthy Mix range as I have heard so many good reviews!

Alternatively you could go down the route of BB or CC Creams. I like The Seventeen BB Blemish Balm or The Loreal Nude Magique BB Cream.

Primer

This goes for both your face and your eyes. Whether you have Oily or Dry skin , our skin still finds it hard to keep that makeup in place with all that heat and sweating so lets give it a hand! Primers are excellent for preping the skin for easy and smooth application and keeping all that hard work we did on our makeup locked in place.

When I first started blogging (If any of you have been with me that long then thank you) I never used to use a primer. I never saw the point now I hate my Makeup with out one! And still my all time favourite is the Maybelline Baby Skin Primer. You are probably sick death of hearing me talk about this but  I have tried others but nothing yet compares to this product for my skin. I love that silicony texture though & I Know that isnt for everyone. However there are some great ones out there both High Street & High End so do a bit of research and test them out!! I recently picked up 2 new primers and I will be showing them to you an up coming haul so you never know! I may find a new primer obsession!

Eyeshadow Bases are also Super Important Because even our eyelids get oilier in the summer time.
This Means eyeshadow smudges and creases easier and the best way to combat this is yes again another primer. There are some great ones from Essence Cosmetics & Catrice Cosmetics & If your feeling flush the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion is a good one!

High lighter

I do like a good Lighter. Here is where I tend to go for a powder product. I just prefer them in general and you don't use that much product so it is hard to look heavy. The highlighter I always go back to is the Fuschia Pearl Powder which is a loose highlighting powder. I have recently bought a new cream to powder highlighter from Essence Cosmetics though I am yet to try it out so I will have to keep you updated.

Fake Tanning Products

If you are anything like me then getting a natural tan is not much of an option! All I get is burnt and sun damage. Now Im not hating on fair people ( I am one!) and fair skin can be beautiful but just like our makeup we like to change it up! My 2 go to products for this are the Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs & The St Mortiz mousse Tanner. I just keep going back to these!!

Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs is one of my holy grail products (& I dont take that term lightly!) I have used it for years & not only on my legs! its perfect for instant skin perfection! It dries quickly and lasts until you have a shower. In recent times They have improved the formula and now have a waterproof version. If you want to read a full review then just click here Link

St Moritz Tanning Range is one I discovered last summer. I love this tan for when I have the time and energy to use a developing one! It has colour when applying so you can see where it has been applied. You dont have to worry about streaking as you wash off all the excess a few hours later or if your like me & like to apply your tan before bed then the next morning. Really lovely natual looking tan and the price is on point at under 10 euro a bottle. To read a full review just click here Link

This year though I want to try out more! Why not You only live once #YOLO

Time to Bronze

Again as normally im the fairest of maidens I like to use a bit of bronzer so I look more like california beach folk then Nocturnal Vampire folk. (Again just me personally) I like both cream and powder products for this.

For cream I love the Seventeen Instant Glow Cream Bronzer. It is actually the only cream bronzer I have tried and loved it! I use it on its own for more natural days or with powder over for a stronger and set contour (It aint going anywhere!!) Im definately interested in trying out some more. If you have any recommendations then please leave them in the comments below!! To read a review click here Link

For Powder I love the Catrice Sun Glow Matt Bronzing Powder. I discovered this last year and honestly havent used anything else since. Love Love Love. I keep wanting to branch out like with other types of products but I keep thinking If it aint broke....

Setting powder / Spray

I usually prefer Setting Sprays to Powders but that might be due to the fact that my skin is normal to dry and sometimes putting alot of powder on seems abit redundant and also may cling to any dry patches I have.

My favourite setting spray is the All Nighter by Urban Decay. Sorry but I just havent found a high street / drugstore alternative that I can recommend you yet!!

For Setting Powders the one I like are the Catrice Prime & Fine Setting Powder. I believe it has been discontinued but there is a newer one that they have released so I must try it out! Alternatively I also like the Rimmel Stay Matt Pressed Powder.

Lip Products

The summer time is such a great excuse to wear bright lip colours (bright pinks, reds and corals) As Anyone who has been reading my blogs posts for a while will already know I am generally a Nudes girl. This doesnt completely change in the summer but I do find myself getting a little bit more experimental when it comes to colour. I am trying out new products at the moment and will dedicate and entire blog post to it soon!!

Nail Varnishes

I love buying new Nail varnishes in the summer! All the new summer collections come out!! I love wearing bright, vibrant and fun colours!! This year the brand I am particularly loving is Barry M !  There will also be a post coming up soon dedicated solely to pretty nail varnishes!!

Waterproof mascara

This something I am going to be putting to the test this year!! I understand it is a must for most people and last summer I loved the Catrice False Lash Effect Mascara, Waterproof . I think in the summer time It is better to opt for a waterproof mascara as there is less of a chance of it migrating from your eyelashes when sweating or when you may be hoping into a pool at some point. For me however I have never really given them much of a chance the Catrice one is the only waterproof formula that I have tried but this summer I will be putting more to the test all in the name of research!!

These are all my top beauty products for the summer time!!  Again let me know in the comments if you have any recommendations for me!! I love trying out new products!!
