Haul Time!! Collective Drugstore Beauty Haul!!

Hey Guys,

So yes I have another, yes another collective haul for you guys (If you missed out on my last haul you can check it out here - Beauty Haul!! (Makeup Revolution, Pennys/Primark, Blank Cosmetics, Wet & Wild)

Today is another haul of beauty bits & pieces that I have picked up from Penny's (Primark), Random Irish pharmacies (Drugstores) & also gifts. So I'll I can say is sit back, relax & enjoy! Leave me a comment below with your thoughts on any of the products I have mentioned here today or any new products you have picked up lately. i would love to hear about them.

Also don't forget to add me on TWITTER, INSTAGRAM or SNAPCHAT for realtime mini reviews, Mini hauls & update goings on!! See you there!!

Lets get this show on the road then shall we (I will warn you now there are a lot of products here) -

Wet & Wild Photo Finish Foundation

I picked this up a couple of weeks ago when I was in need of a new foundation. Unfortunately there is no L'Oreal stand anywhere near me. There is however a Wet & Wild stand so I decided it was time once again to start experimenting with new foundations. This was one I picked up. I didn't actually hear any reviews about it until after I picked it up for myself. All the reviews I have seen so far have been positive. I have worn it a couple of times but not enough to give it a full review. That will be coming soon.

Wet & Wild Coverall Cream Foundation

This is another one I thought I would try out. I haven't actually tried it yet but I will be posting a full review of this also in the upcoming weeks.

P.S. 2Pk Silicone Sponges

I genuinely picked this up because I thought it was wierd. The look, the texture, the shape..... wierd. I thought it might be a fun thing to try out and tell you guys about and if it works then win, win.

P.S. Plumping Vitimin E Sheet Mask

Pennys have been doing a lot of skincare recently and I haven't actually tried that much so I thought it was about time to give it a go!! I picked up a couple masks!

P.S. Cranberry Lip Patch

Essence - Get Picture Ready - Brightening Concealer

This was a new product to arrive at the Essence stand. I think the thought process of this product is kind of along the lines of the Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer that everyone went crazy for. (I personally have never tried it. I know #badblogger) Anyhoo I thought I would give it a shot & see how it works out.

P.S. Foundation

The final product I have to show you is another foundation!! I think it was the YouTuber Kate from Kates Beauty Station that raved about this and said that She used it everyday so I had to give it a go. I just hope I picked up the right one!!

Well looks like I'm going to be a busy girl!! testing out all these products. Keep a close eye on my social media for up-to-date mini reviews!! Also leave me a comment down below if you have tried any of these products & your thoughts on them!! Or if you have any recommendations of any new products you either love and think I would like to try or that you would like me to test out for you!!

Beauty Haul!! (Makeup Revolution, Pennys/Primark, Blank Cosmetics, Wet & Wild)

Hey Beauties,

Today I have another haul for you guys!! I did a little shopping in the past couple of weeks & this is a collective haul of new beauty products & tools. I picked these up in Pennys and random Pharmacies. *Side note - I love pharmacies in Ireland. You always find random stalls of different makeup brands which are primarily based in the UK or the States such as Physicians Formula, Freedom, The Balm & Makeup Revolution. They usually start in random pharmacies & then filter out to the wider market. Take NYX for example I could only find it in small random stalls & now the have priority in Boots. Anyway these are the kinds of places I found the makeup I am about to show you. I am so excited to start playing with it all and giving you guys reviews.

Makeup Revolution, I Heart Makeup - Salted Caramel Palette - €12

I was so excited to see this stand. I remember seeing the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palettes everywhere for the past couple of years. I remember feeling, on the one hand so jealous as I wanted to play with it but also I know with amount of makeup I currently possess and the fact that I am trying to live more minimally, appreciating my possessions and achieving financial & travel goals for 2017 there was no way I could justify paying out that money for another palette. When I spotted these palettes on a stand for the first time I was so happy. I picked this baby up knowing it to be a dupe for the Too Faced Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette for €12!! I know that although its a dupe it wont be exact however I also know the quality of these shadows is great and I cant wait to play with. I will definitely be giving you guys a review of this product as an independent product and not as a dupe. (also you maybe notice on one of the photos there is some animal print going on. That is not part of the design, its actually a reflection of the shirt I was wearing when taking the photo.... I think it kinda works though so I used the photo anyway! #bloggerproblems)

Makeup Revolution - Lip Lava Motlen Chocolate - €4.50

Any guesses to why I picked up this little product?? Yes most of you probably guessed right. This product has been duped for the Too faced Melted Lipstcks or the OCC Lip Tars, more products that I have always wanted to try. I got the shade Naked Chocolate. It was the one I was most drawn to in the shelf. I picked this baby up for €4.50!! If I fall for these products I will definitely be considering picking up their higher end counterpart.

Blank Canvas Cosmetics, Dome Buffer Brush - €14.99

For months now I have been so tempted by these brushes I have heard such great things about them but again as I genuinely have more brushes and tools in my collection than I can currently count I have always put it off..... until now. I caved! What can I say... I'm weak... sue me. #sonotsorry.

Pennys Lip Liner - €1.50

I love Pennys Lip liners & I couldnt resist picking another one at €1.50 a pop - #winning Here I picked up the shade - Desert Sand. Its a very 'Kylie Jenner' shade & I love it!

Pennys Mascara - €1.50

I am still on my never ending quest to find my perfect mascara so now that I'm in need of a new one I found this just hanging out on the shelf calling my name. The quality of Pennys make is getting stronger and stronger so you never know #fingerscrossed

Pennys Eyebrow Pencil - €1.50

For a long time now I have been using powder to fill in my brows & I find that it works really well for me. However I have been getting bored lately & decided to branch out and try new things. I decided to opt for pencil as it seems like it might be reliable and also maybe travel friendly #winwin I picked this up in the shade - Medium.

Wet & Wild - Colouricon Bronzer SPF 15 - Reserve Your Cabana - €4.95

I was in need of a new bronzer as unfortunately mine bit the bullet a couple of weeks ago when it fell on the floor and smashed. Luckly the lid was still closed so I have been able to use it but realistically it was time to invest again. If you have been with for a long time (Thank you) then you will know that for the longest time I have been using the Catrice - Sun Glow Matt Bronzing Powder (One of my holy grail products) However, even though I do love that product so much & will be purchasing it again I decided it was finally time to branch out so I decided to pick up this one. I spotted it a couple of months ago and it intrigued me but I couldn't justify buying it as I already had my other one at the time. This one looks so light but I'm going to give ago anyway and see how I get on. Stay tuned for updates!!

So thats my little haul!! I am so happy with my purchases and cant wait to now start playing with them!! Stay tuned for updates or you can check out my SNAPCHAT - beautylalinda Here I post mini reviews & updates in real time.

Have you tried any of these products? What were your thoughts on them? Any advice or recommendations for future purchases??

Empties #6 (Foundations & Concealers)

Hello my beauties,

Today I have another empties! If you read my Goals & Resolutions 2017 on my Lifestyle Blog, (If you missed it you can click on the link here - Goals & Resolutions 2017 It will open into another window) then you will know that one of my resolutions is to incorporate minimalism into my life. To do this I am in the process of going through everything I own and deciding what I love & want to keep in my life. This means I have empties that I need to share with you before I can rid of them!

I also mentioned in Blogmas #5 || Empties (You can click on the link to check it out if you missed it) that my last Empties post was in march so I have a box of stuff which I has just been growing & growing in the past year! I've decided to break them up into categories as, yes, I have that much to get through. Again this will be a long post, grab a cuppa & make yourself comfy!!

Here go! Lets get started!

Loreal True Match Foundation

Ok you probably heard me bang on about this foundation enough already. Its my holy grail, I have one on the go at the moment & I have a back up... I may have a problem haha!

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation

This is another fave of mine. I actually didn't know until I went through my empties bin that I had 3 of them! I do really like this foundation though & would repurchase it!

Revlon ColourStay Foundation

This one actually featured in a favourites post for November 2014!! If you would like a throwback then you can check it out here & all the reasons I like it - November Favourites 2014  I don't prefer it to the Loreal True Match or The Rimmel Match Perfection but I would repurchase this product again.

Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin Foundation

This Foundation, along with Loreal True Match & Rimmel Match Perfection were all featured in a Current Top 5 Drugstore / Highstreet Foundations in July 2014! Click here if you want to read a full review on why I like them all - Current Top 5 Drugstore/Highstreet Foundations - July 2014 My feelings have not changed on any of them!!

Me Me Me - Flawless Cream Foundation

In hind-sight I probably didn't give this product a fair test. I've had it for the longest time... probably even before I started blogging & the colour of it was much too dark for me so I just never reached for it. Now it is well out of date. Would I repurchase it again? I don't think so. I mean the couple of times I used it I liked it. Maybe if I could get it in my colour I would give it another go but I'm not pushed. If any of you use this can you please let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

Maxfactor Pan Stik

Ah this is a nostalgia product for me! I think it was probably the first foundation I ever owned or wore (Not this particular tube obviously) Even the smell of this takes me back. I actually hate throwing this away, more of a sentimental value more than anything else but to be honest this is out of date now & even if it wasn't it just doesn't agree with my skin anymore. My skin is way too dry for this product & this product just seems to highlight my dryness & make it worse. Sorry my old friend but you gots to go! Maybe this year I will try a new maxfactor foundation. One that will work with my skin but still have that nostalgic smell!! Let me know your foundation recommendations from this brand down below!

Essence Stay All Day 16H Concealer

Can you tell I like this product. This product has been featured many times on this blog between favourites & other empties posts. I have been using this product for about 2 years now & I have nothing bad to say about it. It works really well with my skin & highlights well under the eyes. I will say I do not have a huge problem with creasing under the eyes in general but I have never had a problem with this product. This product reminds me a lot of the Collection Perfection Concealer, another firm favourite of mine! I have empties in both the old & the new packaging & I'm currently working my way through a new one at the moment.

Essence Stay Natural Concealer

This is one I would not repurchase again. I thought it was going to be like the Loreal Paris Magique Lumi Concealer or the Maybelline Lumi Concealer but its not at all. Its too dark to highlight for me and the consistancy just isn't the same.

Seventeen Phwoarr Paint

I really liked this product!! I think its great for concealing dark circles!! I'm pretty sure this featured in a favourites post or a current makeup routine post at some stage. This is a product I'm sad to see the back of. I will be repurchasing this at some stage!

NYX HD Concealer

I hauled this about 2 years ago in my first ever NYX haul! I remember being so excited by seeing a NYX stand in Ireland.. roll on 2 years later and we are now lucky enough to have them in almost every town or city! I really liked this concealer. I have heard that it is supposed to be comparable to the NAKED concealers but I have yet to try them! Still though this is a product I would repurchase.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer

As I have mentioned above, a firm favourite that I will always repurchase!

There you have it, Concealers & foundations all cleaned out. Let me know in the comments if you have tried any of these & what were your thoughts. Also let me know if you have any recommendations for new foundations or concealers for me to try out!!

Beauty Blogmas #1 || Festive / Winter makeup Essentials

Hello, Hello, Hello, (or should that be Ho, Ho, Ho!)

Welcome my beauties to Day 1 of Beauty Blogamas!! AAAHHHH!!! I'm so excited right now!! Right so before we get into it I have many exciting things to share with you!! If you have popped over here from my Lifestyle Blog (Beauty La Linda - Lifestyle) then hello again, & you may already know all the news I have to share with you. In this case feel free to skip over this and get right into the beauty part!!

So this year I wanted to #Blogmas properly so I have been a very buzy little bee, planning and buzzing away. Heres what I have in store this Christmas -
  • I will be holding #Blogmas on BOTH Blogs this holiday season! Thats 2 Posts everyday until Christmas!! & Also one on Christmas day!! That's 49 posts in 25 days!! So much content and (hopefully) holiday inspiration and joy for you to get your teeth into!!
  • I will also be doing a #beautyadeventcalendar on my instagram account where you can stay interactive with me and we can share our thoughts and opinions on the products. However it doesn't end there. I will also be holding a holiday GIVEAWAY, including all the products being shown!! I will be posting a post with all the info very soon but make sure you are subscribed to all my social media to be included in the giveaway.
  • I will also be sharing daily festive updates on Twitter!! #Christmassyfun

Now Welcome to my post #Blogmas post!! I thought we would kick off the season with my favourite Winter/Festive Makeup Essentials!! I thought I would share my recommendations in all makeup categories in case you are need of some new products for your stash! Here we go -

Primer

I good primer is essential at this time of year! The days might be shorter in terms of light but they are much longer in terms of things we need to do and places we need to go!! This means your makeup must stay in place!! #bulletproof It must survive all the rushing around, sweating & all the different senarios you are going to put it through!  If you have been following my blog for a while now you will know that a firm favourite has always been the Maybeline Baby Skin Primer - Instant Pore Eraser (Full Review) However since then I have been quite the primer floozy and tried out many a primer. Here are my top pics Loreal Paris Infallible Mattifying Base (Full Review) Wet & Wild Coverall Primer, Base de Teint (Full Review), Benefit Porefessional. I recommend these primers to anyone who is looking for something new to try out... what ever your budget! For me, this holiday season I will be trying out the new PS... PRO Mattifying Primer & PS...PRO Mircle Primer. I picked these up in a recent haul (coming very soon!) and I have to say I am really liking them so far. I will have a full review coming!!

Foundation

Again Base products are essential this time. The only thing I will ask you to remember when it comes to foundation at this time of year, is that for most of us our skin will change with the weather. My skin completely dries up at this time of year. So not only is skincare super important but also the type of foundation can have a huge impact on your skin and the overall finish of your look. I generally stay away from mattifying foundations at the best of times as I have normal to dry skin but this time of year it leans more on the dry side. I think that as long as I properly prep the skin I could use them once and a while for big events but for general day today I am going to stick to my 'holy grail' Loreal True Match foundation.

Eyeshadow

This time of year I like to be a little more dramatic with my eye looks. I like to put a little more effort into my routine. What better time of year to play with makeup!! With all the new collections coming out and all the events to go to!, the whole world is decorated and dressed up and I see no reason why we shouldn't be too. I always tend to turn to palates for this. The one I've been reaching for the most recently is the Makeup Revolution Iconic Pro 1 palate. I have seen online that it has been duped with the Lorac Pro 1 palate. I have never tried it but if it is a dupe I recommend both. Even if its not I think it is a great palate & I love the looks I can create from it!! Makeup Revolution is a new brand I'm discovering and I am loving it so far!! However if this is a brand that is not easily accessible to you there are so many brands both high-end and high street (drugstore) that have amazing palates available, especially at this time of year! They are just rolling them out!!

Eyeliner

I love eyeliner most of the year round, however this time of year I bearly go a day with out it!! My absolute favourites (as you may already know) come from Essence. My fave's are the Essence Eyeliner Pen - Waterproof & Essence Kohl Eyeliner Pencil. However there are so many available to make your eyeliner dreams come true. Another brand I recommend for these are Rimmel & Loreal.

Bronzer

I think a little bronzer is always a good thing at this time of year. It adds a little colour and life back into your complexion. I think its a little confidence boost too when the winter blues come along. My favourite is still the Catrice Cosmetics, Sun Glow Matt Bronzing Powder, Meduim Skin. Next year I do plan on branching out on the bronzer spectrum but at the moment as the saying goes "If it aint broke..."

Blusher

Blush again is one of those products that can instantly add youth and life back into your face with one sweep of your brush. My favourites for this is Benefit Rockateur & Sleek Blushes! If you haven't tried out the Sleek blush range you really need to get yourself to your nearest Boots or Sleek counter and give them a swatch. You wont be disappointed!!

Highlighter

We all need a little glow in our lives! & what better time to glow than the festive season!! I have many options to recommend to you! There are now many different brands at many different price points that have highlighter palates available, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Makeup Revolution, Sleek just to name a few! Essence also does a nice cream to powder highligher. I also like the liquid highlighter Benefit's High Beam & their cream highlighter Watt's up. Let it Glow, Let it Glow, Let it Glow!!

Brows

Good brow game is kind of a must all year round but its definitely not a part of your makeup routine not to be forgotten at this time of year. To be honest it is not an area I have experimented too much with to date. I find that powder and fixing gel gets me covered!! At the moment I'm using and really liking the PS... Brow Kit (which will also be featured in the future haul!) and the Essence Make Me Brow - Eyebrow Gel Mascara. I have heard that it is comparable to the Benefit Gimmie Brow but yet again I have yet to try it. I do know however that I am really enjoying the Make Me Brow.

Lippies

This time of year is such a wonderful time for makeup experimentation and lippy is a great way of doing this too. I love bringing out the berries, mauves / purples, darker brown nudes, wines and reds. Now I tend to prefer berries to reds but there is always an occasion where only a red will do! My favourite brands for lipsticks are MAC, Essence, Wet & Wild Maybelline. I think if you check out these brands you will not be disappointed when it comes to range selection, texture and finish. If you would like to check out lipliners I recommend you try out ones from - PS... Range from Penny's / Primark, Essence, MAC & Rimmel. I also have it on my list to try out the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheats as I have heard so many great things about them!!  The one pictured below is a recent find which will be included in an upcoming haul & it is Essence Long Lasting Lipstick in the Shade 26 (I really don't know why they don't name them anymore #sadface... or maybe I just couldn't find it! #confused)

These are just a few of my recommendations for you guys. I also wanted to show you there is no need to break the budget when it comes to essential cosmetics for the holiday season!!  Please leave me a comment down below with any of your recommendations you would like to share with the rest of us!!
