Beauty Blogmas #2 || Holiday Skin Saviours

Hello beauties,

Welcome to DAY 2!!! Still can't believe it!! Woohoo!! Today I want to talk about my favourite skincare products for this time of year. *Dont forget about the GIVEAWAY All links and details will be at the end of this post.

This time of year can really play havok with our skin! My skin is generally normal to dry but this time of year it is definitely more on the dry side. These are the products I have been using recently & I am very happy with the way they are working for me. None of these products are super expensive either so if you are looking to add or swap out and item in your routine then any of these should be easily accessible and should also fit most budgets.

You can also kind of see this as my up-dated winter skincare routine. When looking through these products you will notice that many of them are simple or really hydrating. This is because my skin gets more sensitive and dry so I prefer to use products that don't include harsh chemicals or anything that is going to irritate my skin. If you have similar problems these products just might help!! Besides I always think clean and hydrating products are always a good idea!!

*Disclaimer -There are many Boots products in this review. This is simply because I like the range not because I'm being sponsored in anyway. They have no idea I am writing this post.

Cleansers

At the moment I am using two cleansers. The first one is an oil cleanser. It is the Simple - Kind to Skin Hydrating Cleansing Oil. This contains pure grapeseed oil and multi-vitimins & claims that it doesn't contain artificial perfume or colour. I picked this up recently enough and it says new on the label but I'm not sure exactly how new it is. Its new to me anyway and I'm enjoying it so far. My second cleanser is the Boots Essentials Cucumber Cleansing Lotion For All Skin Types. I like to use this for my second cleanse because its creamy, gentle and the cucumber makes it refreshing.

Facial Scrub

As my skin gets really dry I have to exfoliate to combat any flakiness but as my skin is more sensitive I can't use anything that is too harsh. For a while now I have been using Boots Simply Sensitive Cleansing Jelly Ball Scrub with Aloe Vera. I find it has worked very well with my skin.

Micellar Water

I having been putting many micellar waters to the test in the past couple of months (Reviews coming soon) and I have yet to find one that I prefer to the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water (Original) I know there are different types available so if this one doesnt work for your skin type I'm sure there will be another one in the range for you!!

Facial Toner

Again some toners can be very harsh. I always try to include one into my routine as they restore the PH balance in your skin after all that cleansing. I'm sure the one I am currently using is not the most gentle in the world but I have been using it since the summer and it takes such a long time to go through them. So I'm going to continue using it until its all gone. Also you use so little of it I don't think it will cause much damage. It doesn't seem to be causing my skin any irritation any way. The one I am referring to is the Boots Cucumber Facial Toner For All Skin Types. I know it contains alcohol but I find it refreshing (again must be the cucumber).

Eye Cream/Gel

I have two that I am currently using. One in the morning & one in the evening. In my morning routine I have been using the Boots Essentials Cucumber Eye Gel for all skin types and for my evening routine I have been using the Boots Simply Sensitive Hydrating Eye Cream with Aloe Vera.

Facial Serum

The serum I am currently loving is the Lacura Face Care Renew Q10 Anti Wrinkle Multi Intensive Serum.  Im a big fan of the Lacura serums I have a review of the Lacura Aqua Complete Multi Intensive Serum (Full Review) I decided to pick this one up instead to give it ago & I have to say I am very impressed with this range.

Moisturisers

I have three main moisturisers. One for daytime and 2 that I alternate between for nighttime. The daytime moisturiser I have been using Boots Simply Sensitive Protecting Day Moisturiser SPF15 with Aloe Vera. I like that it is once again a clean and fragrance free product. The evening moisturisers that I have been chopping and changing between are Benefit Total Moisture & Garnier SkinActive Moisture Bomb - Super Recharging Antioxidant Gel-Cream (Night). I have been loving these!!. The Benefit one is super rich and nourishing & the Garnier one is really hydrating. I love the gel formula of it. It just sinks into my skin!!

Oils

The oil I'm currently using and testing out was kindly sent to me by the company, although I am not being paid to talk about it & they have no idea I am including it in this post. It is the Omega Rich Pure Marula Oil. I am really enjoying it so far but promise to have a full review coming soon!

Lipcare

I am very unfortunate in the winter time with dry lips, so to try and combat the dryness and the chapping I use a lip scrub and lip blams. The lip scrub I am currently using (and I'm actually surprised with how much I like) is the PS... Lip Scrub. I picked it up originally for review and spoiler - I'm very impressed with the results! I really like the texture & how my lips feel after using it! The only thing I don't like is that it's in stick form. I don't like the idea of dead skin being left or stuck on it so I always try and clean it after using it. Another lip scrub that I would recommend are the ones from LUSH. I really enjoyed using the Bubblegum one.

Lip balms are also very important to me this time of year. My all time lip saver is the Carmex range! But I also like the Nivea lip balms & the one I am currently using is the Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Lip Balm with SPF 20. I still prefer the Carmex but I do really like it.

These are all the products I have been currently using & I think they are working for me! Leave me a comment below with any of your skin saviour recommendations!! I'd love to hear them!
