Empties #6 (Foundations & Concealers)

Hello my beauties,

Today I have another empties! If you read my Goals & Resolutions 2017 on my Lifestyle Blog, (If you missed it you can click on the link here - Goals & Resolutions 2017 It will open into another window) then you will know that one of my resolutions is to incorporate minimalism into my life. To do this I am in the process of going through everything I own and deciding what I love & want to keep in my life. This means I have empties that I need to share with you before I can rid of them!

I also mentioned in Blogmas #5 || Empties (You can click on the link to check it out if you missed it) that my last Empties post was in march so I have a box of stuff which I has just been growing & growing in the past year! I've decided to break them up into categories as, yes, I have that much to get through. Again this will be a long post, grab a cuppa & make yourself comfy!!

Here go! Lets get started!

Loreal True Match Foundation

Ok you probably heard me bang on about this foundation enough already. Its my holy grail, I have one on the go at the moment & I have a back up... I may have a problem haha!

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation

This is another fave of mine. I actually didn't know until I went through my empties bin that I had 3 of them! I do really like this foundation though & would repurchase it!

Revlon ColourStay Foundation

This one actually featured in a favourites post for November 2014!! If you would like a throwback then you can check it out here & all the reasons I like it - November Favourites 2014  I don't prefer it to the Loreal True Match or The Rimmel Match Perfection but I would repurchase this product again.

Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin Foundation

This Foundation, along with Loreal True Match & Rimmel Match Perfection were all featured in a Current Top 5 Drugstore / Highstreet Foundations in July 2014! Click here if you want to read a full review on why I like them all - Current Top 5 Drugstore/Highstreet Foundations - July 2014 My feelings have not changed on any of them!!

Me Me Me - Flawless Cream Foundation

In hind-sight I probably didn't give this product a fair test. I've had it for the longest time... probably even before I started blogging & the colour of it was much too dark for me so I just never reached for it. Now it is well out of date. Would I repurchase it again? I don't think so. I mean the couple of times I used it I liked it. Maybe if I could get it in my colour I would give it another go but I'm not pushed. If any of you use this can you please let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

Maxfactor Pan Stik

Ah this is a nostalgia product for me! I think it was probably the first foundation I ever owned or wore (Not this particular tube obviously) Even the smell of this takes me back. I actually hate throwing this away, more of a sentimental value more than anything else but to be honest this is out of date now & even if it wasn't it just doesn't agree with my skin anymore. My skin is way too dry for this product & this product just seems to highlight my dryness & make it worse. Sorry my old friend but you gots to go! Maybe this year I will try a new maxfactor foundation. One that will work with my skin but still have that nostalgic smell!! Let me know your foundation recommendations from this brand down below!

Essence Stay All Day 16H Concealer

Can you tell I like this product. This product has been featured many times on this blog between favourites & other empties posts. I have been using this product for about 2 years now & I have nothing bad to say about it. It works really well with my skin & highlights well under the eyes. I will say I do not have a huge problem with creasing under the eyes in general but I have never had a problem with this product. This product reminds me a lot of the Collection Perfection Concealer, another firm favourite of mine! I have empties in both the old & the new packaging & I'm currently working my way through a new one at the moment.

Essence Stay Natural Concealer

This is one I would not repurchase again. I thought it was going to be like the Loreal Paris Magique Lumi Concealer or the Maybelline Lumi Concealer but its not at all. Its too dark to highlight for me and the consistancy just isn't the same.

Seventeen Phwoarr Paint

I really liked this product!! I think its great for concealing dark circles!! I'm pretty sure this featured in a favourites post or a current makeup routine post at some stage. This is a product I'm sad to see the back of. I will be repurchasing this at some stage!

NYX HD Concealer

I hauled this about 2 years ago in my first ever NYX haul! I remember being so excited by seeing a NYX stand in Ireland.. roll on 2 years later and we are now lucky enough to have them in almost every town or city! I really liked this concealer. I have heard that it is supposed to be comparable to the NAKED concealers but I have yet to try them! Still though this is a product I would repurchase.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer

As I have mentioned above, a firm favourite that I will always repurchase!

There you have it, Concealers & foundations all cleaned out. Let me know in the comments if you have tried any of these & what were your thoughts. Also let me know if you have any recommendations for new foundations or concealers for me to try out!!

Beauty Blogmas #7 || Favourite Christmas Time Lippies || Drugstore Edition

Hey Everybody!

Welcome to DAY 7!!! Today I am sharing all my favourite lippies in my collection!!

Essence Lipsticks

I have spent a long time raving about the the Essence Lipstick Range Here are a few of my favourites from the Long Lasting for the season -

Here are my two picks from the Matts Range

Maybelline

Maybelline is another brand I trust when I am in need of a good lippie!! Here are the two I will be wearing this season -

Wet & Wild

I love the Wet & Wild Lipsticks. They are so affordable too & have a wide range of colours and finishes too!! These are my picks!

Sleek Cosmetics

Sleek produce some of my favourite bold lippies. They don't have a massive range of colours but they perform excellently on the lips. I love this shade of red for Christmas time!

Essence Velvet Sticks

I hauled these a while back. They are the Matt Version Velvet Sticks. I have the glossy version too which I accidentally picked up but I much prefer the matt versions. I have been wearing them alot. Can you tell which one is my favourite of the two?

Lip Liners

Lip liners are a newer addition to my routine in the last year. My drugstore favourites are the P.S range at Pennys/Primark & the Essence Lip Liner Range.

Here you have my top picks for drugstore lipsticks & liners. Please leave me a comment letting me know your favourite drugstore lipstick or liner. I love trying out new products!!

Beauty Blogmas #6 || Festive Polish

Hello Hello,

Today I thought we would talk all about festive polish!! These are my top picks this year!!

Maybelline Super Stay 7 Days Gel Nail Colour

One of the things Maybelline do well is nail polish. My favourite December picks are Rose Veil (from the Metallic Silks range) & Extreme Blackcurrant and Devine Wine (From the Forever Strong Range) I love the formula of these!!

Essence Cosmetics

I have always been a huge fan of the nail polish lines produced by Essence. These are my picks for this time of year!!

In the photos they all look fairly similar but I promise you they are not (spoken like a true beauty addict!! haha). From left - right in the top photo - 114 Fame Fatal, 113 Do you speak love?, 10 True Love, 169 A Hint of Love. They the perfect shades for any red nail occasion!!

They also have a range of other winter shades if red is not your thing! Again from left - right -102, Sparkling Water Lily, 53 Rock my World, 80 Jeans On!

Catrice Cosmetics

We all need a bit of sparkle and metalic in our lives, Catrice does this well! Here are my two faves from my collection!

Here we have 62 Must Have STEELetto & C03 Metalight

Barry M

I love Barry M nail polishes!! I them all year round but I have picked two that I think will be nice this time of year if your are not feeling the bold, dark or glittery

From left - right -Rose Hip, Cardamom. (full review on Rose hip - Full Review Post)

P.S... Nail Polish Range

Pennys / Primark have really upped there game in the past year these are my picks for this season! And at E2 a pop not much room to complain! They now have shine finishes, metallics, mattes. The pink/nude shade is also a matte finish which I enjoy! The only thing I don't like is that there are not names so it's hard to identify them!

Wet & Wild Megalast Nail Polish

This is another formula that I recommend from the highstreet/drugstore. I love these polishes. These two are shades that I believe can carry you throughout the Autumn/Winter season. They are muted but dark at the same, perfect for if you want something a bit bolder but not too loud and in your face!

These are my recommendations! I love a good polish and I think they can tie your whole look together!! Leave me know in the comments what your favourite festive nail polishes are and any recommendations for me?

Shop my Stash! Part #3 || What I intend on using up!

Hello beautiful people,

Now a couple of months back I did a Shop my Stash series. This is where I did a massive clean out of all my make up. I did this in 3 parts ( You can read the first 2 by clicking on the links here Shop my Stash part #1 || What I am throwing away || Fail Products ~&~ Shop my Stash #2 || What I am throwing away || Mini Reviews )

Today is part 3 & Im not going to lie this post is coming to you way later than I intended it to. I guess it just got lost & looked over in the past couple of months for some reason or other. Anyway I am here today to tell you all about the rediscovered items with my intention of using up until the very last drop!!

Urban Decay - All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray

I picked this baby up after I was on serious Nicole Guerrero kick on YouTube haha. I know this isnt the one she uses as we have different skin types but as she & and so many other beauty bloggers & Youtubers have raved about this product I just had to pick one up and try it for myself!! Sometimes you just have to try things out to see what all the hype is about. I generally save it for nights out or heavy duty work when we actually get hot weather in the summer as my primer is usually strong enough to keep all that makeup in place but lately I have seemed to forget it exists altogether. Whats the point in paying for an expensive good quality product & never use it??

Maybelline Colour Tatoo Eyeshadows

I loved these so much when I got them & I raved & raved about them on here, then put them in a drawer & forgot all about them #beautyhoarderproblems Anyway these are products I definitely intend on using up!! I have the shade Pink Gold and On & On Bronze! They are creamy, blendable, amazing pigment & staying power, easy to use & have a fantastic price tag! What more could you want!!? (to be honest I want to pick up more!!!)

Essence Lip Pencils

Im sure I have mentioned these before! I love the lip pencils from the Essence range! I have so many colours! The ones here that I picked to use more are Nude & Honey Berry. They have such a fantastic range of colours. They are creamy & smooth & dont drag on the lips at all or dry them out! If you are looking for good quality lip pencils at the right price, look no further! Essence has you covered!!

Eyeliner Pencils

These are 3 eyeliner pencils that I love and intend on finishing up! Two are from Essence (one of my favourite brands for eyeliners also) & one is from Barry M. The ones I have picked out from essence are (the one on the top) Essence long lasting eyeliner in Bling Bling & (second from the top) Kajal Pencil in Teddy. The one I picked out from Barry M is one Im sure you have heard me talk about in the past. It is a copper toned eyeliner No. 29 (Ive said it before & Ill say it again Barry M need to have names for their products instead of numbers. The names are half the fun!) I love all these liners but have been on a serious black eyeliner kick the past few months, but I intend on branching out again soon!!

Assortment of random eyeshadows I want to get more use out of -

Okay so I have realised that I have built up quite the collection of single eyeshadows yet never use them! I dont know how it happens!! It just seems to creep up on ya! Anyway the brands Ive picked from are 3 very affordable brands.

Starting from top, left to right - Essence~Keep Calm & Berry on, Catrice~ Limited Edition Metallure Metallic Marbled Eye Shadow C03~Metallicious, Natural Collection~Asteroid, Catrice~Fancy A Coppa Tea, Essence Irresistible Caramel Cream, Essence~Frosted Apple, Catrice~ Limited Edition Metallure Metallic Marbled Eye Shadow C01~Metalight, Catrice~Dont Touch my Mosserati, Essence~Fox in the Box & Finally Essence~Chocolate Jewelery!

I dont actually believe I will make it through all of these but I definitely want to give it a shot & get more creative with my makeup!! Ill keep you up-dated on how I get on!!

Thats the end of me cleaning up my make up drawers, for a little while anyway! Im sure I will have more #Shopmystash posts in the coming months!

Have you tried any of these products!? What did you think?
have you had a make up clear out recently let me know in the comments what products you intend on using up or leave me links if you too have done a post of this kind??

Best of Beauty 2014!!

Hey Beauties!

Today I thought I would dedicate a post to my Top 10 beauty finds in 2014. This post would have been up sooner but unfortunately I have been really sick the past few days :( I know not a great way to start the new but it can only get better right?? hah...

Honestly it was quite hard to narrow this down as there were quite a few to choose from. In the end I chose the products that were stand out kind of products that I used consistently since discovering them. All these are products that I chose over others most or all of the time! I chose 5 make up items and 5 skin care items. Enjoy!!

Make - up

Essence Long Lasting Lipstick - 15 Nude Love

Ah the perfect Nude!! I think I may have raved about this product a tad too much already to be honest but you cant have too much of a good thing...can you?? haha! If you want to see a full review just click here - Link

Essence 24hr Liquid Liner

Essence does it again! I found this liner early last year and I have never used any other liquid or gel liner since. It is totally user friendly I find that I can get almost any thickness or shape of a cat flick that my little heart desires. The only thing I wouldnt recommend it for is smudging out because girl let me tell you this stuff is made to stay put! Perfect on application and 16hrs later (I have not made it to 24) Its still perfect!! Also it costs less than €4!! Bargin!!

Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser - Primer

Another product that has featured in a monthly favourites and has a full review. This is another product that I have never strayed from since discovery in the beginning of the summer. For full review just click here - Link

Catrice Sun Glow Bronzing Powder

I love this bronzing powder. I think it may have been mentioned in a monthly favourites and if I havent it definitely should have been!! This bronzer is perfect for contouring and general bronzing up of the face and neck. I also use it in the crease to contour my eyes! Love Love Love!

Ardell Demi Wispies

This was another beauty I just happened upon one day and didnt look back! This product has already been featured in a product of the week and a monthly favourites. To read the product of the week review just click here - Link

Skin Care

Garnier Micellar Cleansing water and eye make up remover

These too products for me were total game changers when it came to taking off my make up! I have yet to find better products at removing make up and for the price they are an absolute steal!! For a full review on the Micellar Cleansing Water just click here - Link

Balmi Lip Balm

Like I said in my monthly favs in which this featured I thought lip balm was lip balm as long as it does the job im happy but I fell in love with this one!! If anyone is looking for a new nourishing lip balm to try then I recommend you give this one a go!

Argon Oil Night Serum

This is another product that since I picked up I have been using it as my only serum and I have noticed that when I use it my skin seems softer and more hydrated! Plus as I have said previously I love the smell!!

Vaseline Healthy Hands + Stronger Nails ,  Hand Cream

I love this hand cream. I love smell its non sticky and and smells soooo nice. Plus my hands feel so soft and nourished after using it!

So There you have it! Now I realise I need to branch out and discover new products as I have been using the same ones for a while now. Cant wait for all the new discoveries in 2015!!

Have you tried any of these products??

What are your Best of Beauty picks for 2014??
